As much complaining as I've heard about this, I just got after it with a craftsman scraper, a rubber mallet, some gloves, and a pair of safety goggles.
Well it took TIME but it wasn't that hard. I got the sound deadening off the floor of the passenger side. I ended up with 8 lbs of material in a plastic bag plus a good bit that went down the shop vac. I'd venture to say that 16 lbs of loss on both driver and passenger side can easily be realized when I'm finished.
looks much cleaner. Why didn't you use dry ice?
ReplyDeleteSince it's winter it really came up quite easily. I have done the dry ice trick before with good results, but had to hit it with a hammer, which dented the floor. Elbow grease will yield a cleaner look in the end (half of what I am trying to accomplish with this car).
ReplyDeleteThanks!
I really loved reading your blog. It is very well authored and easy to understand. Unlike so many other blogs I have read which are really not that good. I also found your posts very interesting. In fact, after reading, I shared it with my friends and everyone liked it!Rust Specialist NH
