Rust repair on front suspension and gas tank support.

The front lower suspension pan is a pretty common rust spot on older 911's. Reason is from the battery not being sealed nor being in its own container and the acidic fumes and leaks eventually get through the protective layers. Mine was BAD for a '77 car (which should have been galvanized). Of course, you could rust plastic in Louisiana by putting it out in a field (where I found the car).



I repaired this using one original Porsche Part (Tankaugflaegertrager - lateral gas tank support driver's side), the Restoration Design upper and lower gas tank panels, and one part I hand made on the bottom side in the front (seemingly not load bearing).

I also used 3m Bare metal seam sealer, 3m epoxy primer, and 3m Schutz gun medium build rock guard (it's paintable, but comes out black).
